A historical heritage
The Espace Découverte en pays du cognac stands on the site of the oldest trading house of Cognac, the Maison Augier, founded in 1643. Renovated in 2004 on 400 m² and 2 levels, the building still allows you to see some of the old stones of the ancient city walls.
This space is a true meeting between history and modernity and combines old and contemporary styles. Stones are the key element at the heart of the building and support its metal structure. The side-walkways, gangway floor and bannister surrounding the space on the upper floor have been designed using a mix of wood and glass.
